Museo del Jamón on Calle Mayor is chaotic perfection and a touristy Madrid experience. Jamón legs hanging like art, beer flowing fast and bartenders shouting orders with charm. A caña and a plate of jamón ibérico here feel timeless and unapologetically local . It’s not fancy, it’s real and that’s the point. Anyways, fun even for dropping by and just seeing it.

Museo del Jamón is a charming little place that's perfect for a casual stop. The bar has a great atmosphere – lively, no-frills, and very typically Spanish. It's a fun spot to sit, have a drink, and soak in the local vibe. The food is decent – nothing too fancy, but it hits the spot if you're after something simple and traditional. The real highlight is the bar itself: quick service, affordable prices, and a wide selection of jamón and cold beers. Overall, it's a great little bar for a relaxed break. Don’t expect fine dining, but do expect a solid experience in a very local setting.

I stopped by Museo del Jamón for a quick bite and the food was quite good — I had a croissant with cheese and jamón along with a cold beer, and everything was fresh and tasty, perfect for a light snack. However, the service was a bit disappointing. The staff barely communicated, offered no guidance, and there was no clear explanation on where to sit or how the process worked — you basically have to figure it all out on your own. It’s a nice place if you’re just there for the food and don’t mind a self-serve vibe, but don’t expect much in terms of service or hospitality.

Had an amazing stay. There is a pretty nice dine-in area upstairs. The food was great and to our surprise not overpriced. Even tho it was very busy the Service was attentive and the food came quite fast. Definitely recommend it for a Madrid trip.

Service was very fast. I ordered one plate of the best jamón ham and spent 16 euros for it. Not too bad. Taste was succulent.

The Museo del Jamon location we went to was bustling with tourists. The shop is lined with all sort of hanging cured meats, and aesthetically is very inviting to those wanting a lovely atmosphere. However, the menu is a bit “gimmicky” and the jamon wasn’t nearly as good as I have had at other restaurants here in Madrid and around the world. It’s great place to learn a little about jamon and how it’s made, and they have a fine selection of beers and beverages. The server we had was very adept at English. If you’re looking for fine cuisine, maybe best to skip this place. But visually it stands out quite a bit on the main street and it’s definitely a great place to socialize with your group and with other travelers.

Everything jamon related was delicious. I was a bit disappointed by the salad, but overall a very good experience, I‘d rate it 8/10 on corresponding scale. We had a lovely experience here. Would come back.

Tourist trap, food is mediocre. Ordered the ham with melon and it was tasteless. Croquetas were soggy, apple pastry borderline stale. Servers are probably tired of tourists nonsense.
